After Ten Years, I Finally Visits My Hometown

We all deserve escapism. After one year, I finally reached the place where I can call home. I remember that since the start of the pandemic, I have always stayed in my room searching for the best resort to visit because I’m hoping that one day this pandemic will be gone.

Mabua in Surigao City is one of the best beaches in Mindanao. You can experience the cleanliness and calm of the water, the welcoming people, and the best of nature. Imagine when you are standing in front of the ocean, feeling the wind, hearing the waves strike onto the shore, and hearing the trees rustle. I think that’s the best moment to live, and that’s how I feel today. I love these images because of the sunset and calmness of the water, and most especially, this is one of the best photos I have because after ten years, I finally visited my hometown again.

We all deserve and need this kind of moment. We feel drained because of our daily routine. Waking up early in the morning, preparing yourself, and going to work. Perhaps that’s exhausting to do day by day. By the time I feel exhausted from my daily routine, I always remember that my health is also important. So, I take a rest, go on an adventure, and have a long nap, because those are important things that we deserve and should be part of our lives.
